John Fryett- trades as a Pork Butcher, Poulterer, Fruiterer and Greengrocer. (K1896). John was born in 1870, the son of James Fryett who runs butcher's shop at No 71 High Street. and No 5 Trinity Street. John's wife is Edith (nee Goldsmith) and they have a son, Henry. (C1871)

1911
John Fryett- Pork Butcher, Poulterer, Fruiterer and Greengrocer. John & Edith now have seven children. Two others have died. Son Henry, now 21, works in the shop as a butcher's assistant. He serves in the First World War and returns safely, as does his brother, Chester, who became a well known ornamental iron work craftsman. Their brother Thomas is less fortunate; his name is on Southwold War Memorial. (C)

John Fryett- Pork Butcher, Poulterer, Fruiterer and Greengrocer. (K1924). A year or two later, John and Edith Fryett move their business to No 10a Stradbroke Road. One of their sons, Henry James has decided to open his own butcher's shop at No 5 Trinity Street.

Beatrice Goldsmith - Dressmaker, sharing the premises with Mr Grey.(SPM1928). At this time it is thought that Nos 32 and 34 East Street are interconnected. Mrs Goldsmith's husband, Arthur, runs the greengrocery business next door.(LM)
